The Empire Strikes Back
Halifax - The Empire finally win their first game under new ownership, silencing the 17000 plus crowd at the Halifax Metrodome and in a big way shutting out the Schooners 5-0.
"We've been in a lot of close games lately and just nice to finally see the team rewarded, and what can you say about the unbelievable play of Roberto, he has been this team's MVP" said a smiling Graves, after a quick interview with TSN.
The Empire's second line provided the spark with two goals from winger Chad Larose who is having a career year scoring his 17th and 18th goals. Kris Draper had a big night as well with four helpers.
The team will now head home and look to play spoiler as they face the Winnipeg jets who are currently sitting in 9th place in the Canadian Conference.
