Seattle 'inaugural' season previewby Phil Lesage | November 6, 2018, 6:00 AM ET
After putting the team through a fast pace and very intense practice in preparation for the teams first pre-season game against against the Denver Rapids, coach Bill Peters during a quick media scrum pulled no punches and announced his starting the roster. "In effort to get off to a quick start, my philosophy heading into this pre-season is to set the roster, the lines and defensive pairings let them play together and build chemistry."
A look at practice today had the following line combinations:
Early synopsis - due to the lack of scoring depth, the club will have to play a tight checking style of play and rely heavily on their goalies to shut the door. The early prognosis is that they should be competitive on most nights, but with little offense will be a sub .500 club in 18/19.
It seems that GM Lesage might look to add a piece via the waiver draft. When asked about the draft his only comment was 'we will have to wait and see what is available, if my coaches/scouts tell me there's a fit, then maybe."
