Michel Bourassa: Express in 6

Matt Burch: The Slammers have built themselves a solid team: one with as much fire power as it has defensive prowess. Still, I don't think the Express are considered that much of an underdog, if they are at all. Express are fielding a rookie goaltender in this series just like the Wheat Kings, but I see them still able to pull this off. Their forwards will keep the play in the Slammers' end, and the defensive corps (arguably the best top six in the league) will stonewall Ottawa's finesse game.

Kasim Husain: Fredericton will find it too tough to put enough pucks past Backstrom to win four games against Ottawa.

Slammers in 6

Mark MacRae: These two teams matchup incredibly closely and so the series could go the distance. The only advantage would appear to be between the pipes, where the Slammers would seem to have a clear edge over the Express's untested rookie Rinne. Plus they've got home ice advantage.

Eric Schneider: As the sage Bob McKenzie once said, "Beware of good teams who had bad years." The Express have the star power and depth to make a lengthy run, though Rinne remains a question mark.
